Detailed description
The HEX-400 compound crossbow is the new top model from EK ARCHERY and comes in a modern, compact design with fantastic performance data. By consistently applying the design principle of a compound crossbow, the EK ARCHERY HEX-400 reaches maximum bolt speeds of up to 395 fps (approximately 433 km/h) with a draw weight of 210 lbs. The CNC-machined aluminum cams (eccentric wheels) extend the string travel without increasing the length of the bow thanks to their asymmetrical shape, allowing significantly higher speeds. The pleasant and quite desirable side effects of this technology are significantly less noise and vibration, less wear, more shot accuracy and, of course, higher bolt speeds. Durable molded fiberglass is used for the limbs themselves.
Finally, the use of high-strength, robust plastic composite for the crossbow's shaft gives it its compact shape. At the rear, the stock extends into a Picatinny rail, to which the adjustable shoulder support is attached. By simply loosening two screws, it can be adjusted individually to fit the shooter, or shortened or lengthened for greater mobility and better balance. In addition, the soft-grip pistol grip with finger grooves improves hand grip, is interchangeable and is compatible with the AR grips used on firearms. Of course, the HEX-400 also has an anti-dry-fire safety, which ensures that the crossbow cannot be released when cocked without a bolt. The trigger is extremely precise and requires a force of less than 3.5 lbs to release.
